What do I need to bring to my consultation?
X-Rays: Make sure to check with your dentist for any appropriate x-rays (taken within the last year) or notes they would like to send us regarding your treatment. You may bring those films and/or note on the day of your consult, or you can have the dentist mail them to us prior to your consultation. If you do not have a recent x-ray, we would be more than happy to take one for you here in the office.
List of medications and medical conditions: Bring a list of any prescription medications you may be taking, as well as any questions you may have for the doctor.
Insurance cards: Please bring any medical or dental insurance cards so we are able to process your claims immediately.
Registration forms: You can download our registration forms. Having them filled out ahead of time will expedite your care.
We look forward to meeting you!
What is a panoramic x-ray?
A panoramic x-ray or radiograph shows your full jaw and is the standard of care for oral surgery. If you do not have a current panoramic x-ray, we may recommend that we take one. If your dentist has taken x-rays, they may be adequate, but we may need additional films to properly evaluate you and provide care. In the office, we use a high speed x-ray technique which minimizes exposure to x-rays.
Do I have to come in for a consultation?
A consultation is important before any surgical procedure, including oral surgery. It allows us to meet ahead of time and aids the understanding, trust, and reduces any anxiety there may be prior to your surgical care. It also gives you the opportunity to have all of your questions answered prior to your treatment date. When necessary, we can perform the evaluation and examination on the same day as treatment. We want to meet your needs. We keep space in our schedule to provide emergency care. If you have a need for prompt care, please call us. We will work hard to accommodate you.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed. One of the biggest compliments we can get is when you come to us by word-of-mouth, through family, friends, and through our website. We are happy to accept new patients. Just call or contact us for an appointment. Dr. Wagner welcomes and serves patients all across Southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois including; Racine, Kenosha, Union Grove, Milwaukee, Burlington, Waterford, Oak Creek, Franklin, Waukegan, Zion, Antioch, and Gurnee.
